Silicone rubber is able to resist extreme temperature variances, from -150 Deg F to 500 Deg F (-101C to 260C), and has natural translucent color for visual flow. Resists U.V. ozone gases, moisture and temperature. Resilient, stretchable and resistant to compression set and is odorless, tasteless and inert. Silicone is extremely resistant to ozone and corona concentration over long time periods. The outstanding property of silicone is its great resistance to temperature extremes. This, in addition to good electrical properties, along with the ability to self -extinguish typically within 3 -8 seconds, make silicone an excellent choice for appliance and computer applications. Contains no sulphur or other acid producing chemicals so it does not cause staining, corrosion or deterioration of other materials it contacts. Standard barbed fittings and lined hose clamps are recommended for most applications. Durometer reading: 50A.
